Police beef up border security ahead of AFL Grand Final

More police resources are being directed to the Western Australia border to ensure the state’s security ahead of the AFL Grand Final on Saturday.
Acting Commissioner of Police Col Blanch says while there are no signs of Victorians trying to sneak in, they aren’t taking any chances.
“We’ve put some extra staff out at the borders just to make sure we don’t have any Victorians who might not want to follow the rules and get over just in time for the Grand Final,” he told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast.
“Certainly we are monitoring that to make sure no-one does that.”
