Emergency services have rescued an 8 year old boy from a trench he fell into in Jandabup, a suburb in the City of Wanneroo.. The incident occurred about 4pm and it took until just before 8pm to rescue the boy who is understood to have been trapped up to his waist in sand. It is understood the boy has non-life threatening injuries and has been taken to hospital. Senior Journalist at Channel 7 Geof Parry spoke to Harvey Deegan.
