Trials are underway to see people effectively given a free electronic car, in return for the battery energy left over from its daily use.

Chad Slater from Morphic Asset Management told Mornings with Gareth Parker, with most people only driving their car for a small portion of the time, trials are looking at how the residual battery energy can be used to supply power to the grid when the car isn’t being used.
