A new plane, the 314 passenger Flying-V, will launch a scale model into the skies later this year as a scale prototype.

The new plane is built very differently from the passenger jets we’re used to and will burn 20% less fuel due to its aerodynamic design.

The West Australian’s aviation editor and Managing Director of airlineratings.com, Geoffrey Thomas, has laid out the details of the new plane in his article today and he joins us on the show to tell us more.
