It was big news out of Essendon today, with the Bombers announcing assistant Ben Rutten will take over from John Worsfold as senior coach of the club, starting 2021.

The news comes as part of bold coaching succession plan unveiled by Essendon, confirming 2020 will be Worsfold’s last season.

Woosha has led the Bombers to finals twice in the past three seasons & said the time was right to hand over the reins & is “really looking forward to helping the club move into its next phase” over the next 12 months.
