Whinge laws for Northbridge neighbours

The State Government is set to protect established venues in Northbridge against whinging neighbours, with other locations in the works afterwards.

New apartments in social areas will come with a noise warning on their title with the new laws to be put in place.
The Minister for Planning, Rita Saffioti told 6PR Breakfast the law is needed for more balance:
“Otherwise we’re just going to create these continuing problems where people might build or move in next door to something and then say, ‘Hey, that venue should be shut down’. I don’t think we want to have venues shut down,” Saffioti says.
