WA Nationals say the State Government haven’t delivered anything to protect farmers

Australia’s toughest trespass laws will come into effect in New South Wales today that sends a clear message to to animal activists that their illegal behaviours would no longer be tolerated.

People who trespass on agricultural properties in NSW will now face fines of up to $220,000 for individuals and over $400,000 for groups or organisations. Trespassers will also cop on-the-spot fines of $1000.

WA Nationals Agriculture spokesperson Colin De Grussa told Oliver Peterson the McGowan Government’s have taken no serious action against animal activists.

“Here in WA these issues gave been ramping up for over seven months and nothing it happening. So obviously this government isn’t taking it very seriously.”
