Arguably Australia’s greatest poet, Les Murray has passed away at the age of 80.

He was one of the nation’s most celebrated poets winning many international literary awards including the Petrarch Prize, the prestigious T.S. Eliot Prize and was awarded the Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry.
