Unsung heroes marked in art

Millsy & Karl

A Perth teenage artist, Amberley Bradley, is painting unsung heroes of Perth to share their important stories.

Bradley won last year’s People’s Choice Award at the St George’s Art Exhibition last year and she wants to tell more stories and put them on show at her own exhibition next year.

“I want to recognise people in the community who do really good things, basically from the goodness of their hearts. I want to shine a light on everyday heroes not people who already get recognition but people that go around not seeking that praise,” the 19-year-old told 6PR Breakfast.

Bradley told the story of the two volunteer firefighters (featured picture) who sacrificed their own home to save their neighbour’s house.
