The State Government is preparing to announce a plan to see Uber passengers slugged a levy to compensate struggling taxi drivers.

Taxi Operators spokesman Athan Tsirigotis told Mornings with Gareth Parker, it’s compensation for an industry which has been left decimated by Uber and other ride-sharing services.
