Time changes for Remembrance Day

Millsy & Karl

A disappointed listener called in on Monday morning telling 6PR Breakfast her and her family arrived at the Riverton RSL at 10:45am on Remembrance Day only to be told the service had already been completed and the organisers were packing up.

The CEO of RSLWA, John McCourt, says it’s up to the individual club’s discretion to when they hold their service.
“What needs to be remembered though, the vast majority make sure, as we did actually at Kings Park, we start it earlier so that when the 11th hour comes up that’s when you have the Last Post and that’s when you have your minute’s silence,” Mr McCourt told Steve and Baz on 6PR Breakfast.
