The Woman Who Changed Her Brain
Barbara Arrowsmith‐Young was born with severe learning disabilities that left her labelled slow, stubborn and ever worse. As a child, she read and wrote everything backward and you’d forgive her for giving up and accepting her condition. But she used her incredible memory and invented cognitive exercises to fix her own brain.
She joined Gareth Parker in the 6PR studio ahead of talking at the Octagon Theatre in Perth tomorrow evening.
