Perth property owner John van Bockxmere decided to combine two of his great loves when he gave his West Perth home a makeover.

What are those two loves? Well judging by the photos you can probably guess – street art and avocados.

But John told Gareth Parker there was a little bit more to it than just a bit of fun.

He says he the ‘Avocado House’ is a dash of positivity in an uncertain world and hopes the concept encourages a civic-minded kindness where individuals invest in the happiness of others.
