The secrets of a good handshake

Millsy & Karl

A lady from New South Wales tried to claim she was a victim of a violent crime because a real estate agent squeeed her hand during a handshake.

The lady says the action left her hand swollen and feeling sore for months afterwards. Steve and Baz asked what’s the handshake protocol.
Etiquette expert Anna Musson told us a man should use 80% of the pressure he would use normally when shaking a woman’s hand, “just dial it back by 20%”.

Listener Luke told us he’s a teacher and he will shake hands with each student in his class at the start of the day, while Rob admitted he broke someone’s finger while shaking their hand.
