“That’s not a knife” ok to say, not ok to use

Millsy & Karl

Paul Hogan is suing Grill’d burgers for using the classic line from Crocodile Dundee: “That’s not a knife, that’s a knife” on their cutlery sleeves.

A professor at law says Paul Hogan can sue Grill’d, but it’s not a part of copyright law. What he can sue Grill’d for is misleading people to think that he is associated with the burger company.

“There’s no copyright in a single sentence, so we can all say that sentence and not have to worry about copyright law,” Andrew Christie told 6PR Breakfast.

Our listeners called in to give their favourite movie quotes (that won’t get them in trouble with copyright law).
