TAFE fees cut to fill skill shortages

The State Government has announced a $53 million package that will see some TAFE fees cut in half.

The fee cuts will apply to more than 30 courses including nursing, aged care, disability support, hospitality, tourism and engineering.

Education Minister Sue Ellery told Gareth Parker the cuts are designed to coax young people back into training to fill emerging skills shortages.
