A year since stricter asset tests for the age pension came into force, the Self-Managed Superannuation Fund Association is concerned the changes have had some serious consequences.

SMSFA CEO John Moroney told Mornings with Gareth Parker, the changes appear to be encouraging some people to cut back on their savings in order to qualify for the pension.
