A shopping centre in Perth’s south is being celebrated for a community engagement campaign which has seen stealing at the centre slashed by 99 per cent.

Waterford Plaza Centre Manager Vivienne Steur told Mornings with Gareth Parker, they recognised the need for a new approach after losing thousands of dollars a week to shoplifting.

Local Indigenous Community advisor Jasmine Fitzgerald also joined Mornings, to share the reaction in the local community from the program.
