Parents are being warned to be extra careful on the road when driving to pick their children up from school.

New analysis of more than 300,000 insurance claims by insurer AAMI found the most road accidents occurred between 1pm and 4.30pm during the week.

AAMI spokesperson Paul Sofronoff told Gareth Parker on Mornings road authorities might need to look at traffic flows but driver awareness is key.
