The climbing track at Uluru has been closed for the final time.

Hundreds of people rushed to the iconic landmark in the past month, for a chance at climbing the sacred Indigenous site before it was closed to the public.

Oliver Peterson spoke with Labor Senator Malarndirri McCarthy who agrees with the decision to stop climbs.
