The Prime Minister is returning to Sydney, saying he regrets any offence caused after he took a holiday during the bushfire emergency.

Two volunteer fire fighters have been killed when a tree branch struck the vehicle they were in while at Buxton south of Sydney.

It’s feared up to 40 properties have been destroyed.

Scott Morrison is in Hawaii and is making arrangements to immediately return home.
