“Part of the furniture.” – The Star Eagle right at home in Perth.

The West Coast Eagles had a relatively successful year after a clutch goal after the siren in extra time against Port Adelaide gave them a semi-final berth.

Sports reporter Jimmy Williams caught up with Luke Shuey as he cements himself  as one of the club’s most important midfielders.

“Any time you serve ten years at somewhere you work like I have here you  do fall in love with the place and  sort of feel like you become part of the furniture.”

Find out if Shuey thinks teammates Andrew Gaff and Jeremy McGovern will stay at the club, and why he wants to be in an Eagle for life.

He also discusses what drives the group as season 2018 enters into round two.

The Eagles may have lost their first game against Sydney, but Shuey is adamant the group will return to the finals again this season, starting with a win this weekend against the Western Bulldogs.
