North Street Store could be forced to close

Last Tuesday, the Cottesloe council voted to have all tables and chairs removed from the front of the North Street Store.  The restrictions inflicted on the cafe by the Cottesloe Council with regard to how the store can operate will essentially force the store to close.

Co-Owner, Lachie Bisset spoke with Andrew Williams on the Mornings Program, “It’s an attempt to throttle our success…there is a select group of people who’ve banded together to fight against us. They feel it’s just too busy, the term that they would use is the scale of the operation is too big for the area to support.”

Lachie then goes on to say, “We’re happy to work with people to develop our business into something that does suit the area but that’s not the consideration we were given.”.
