Multiple pedestrians struck by car in Melbourne

More than a dozen people have been injured after a car slammed into pedestrians outside Flinders Street Station in Melbourne

Heavily-armed police have swarmed the area, at the corner of Elizabeth Street. A pre-school aged child is among the injured, taken by ambulance to the Royal Children’s Hospital in a serious condition.

Another person has been taken to The Alfred hospital. Their injuries and condition are unknown at this stage. 3AW reporter Anthony Laughton joined Oliver Peterson on Perth LIVE.
