Most protests are peaceful: A Perth man in New York

Millsy & Karl

A Perth man moved to New York only three months ago and has barely left his apartment since his arrival due to Coronavirus restrictions and now protests and riots.

26-year-old Blake Hammersley has been working from home in New York for the past few months and explained to Steve and Baz what it’s like to live in America during times of trouble.

“The anarchy of the last few months and people losing their jobs, which has kind of put fuel on the fire of what’s going on right now,” he said.

But he admitted it’s not all bad.
“A majority of the protests going on here are peaceful, it’s just a small minority who cause upheaval.”
