Israel Folau made headlines this month after getting into a bitter feud with Rugby Australia which ignited a debate about freedom of speech and religion across the country.

After a fundraising page with more than $650,000 in donations towards his legal costs was shut down by Go Fund Me, the Australian Christian Lobby came to Folau’s rescue, setting up an alternative fundraising page and pledging $100,000 towards his cause.
