Mars rover Opportunity pronounced dead

More than eight months after its last communication with Earth – NASA has declared the Mars rover Opportunity dead. The rover was only expected to last for 90 days. Instead, lived on for 15 years.

Matt Woods, Tour administrator at Perth Observatory, spoke to Chris about how the solar-powered robot went silent during a raging dust storm.
