Mark Beretta joins the Army Reserves at age 53

Tim McMillan & Jane Marwick

Sunrise Sports Reporter, Mark Beretta has joined the Army Reserves at the age of 53.

“I obviously love working with Channel 7, I’ve been here 25 years and I love what we do with Sunrise but I just wanted to do something else.” Mark Beretta told Tim and Jane on Breakfast. “I think when you do get to this stage of life and you think, well if I’m ever gonna do these things, this is the time right now.”

Mark started the recruitment phase mid last year and was accepted and ranked as Captain in the Australian Army’s Forces Command in Sydney from earlier this year.
