The Long Tan Memorial Cross from the Vietnam War was unveiled at the Australia War Memorial in Canberra after secretly stored in a nearby warehouse.

“In order to make sure that we weren’t descending the sensitivities of the Vietnamese Government that’s been very generous in this regard, we just kept it under wraps for the last month,” Brendan Nelson, the War Memorial boss told 6PR Breakfast.
