Today Show co-host Karl Stefanovic has told 6PR’s Oliver Peterson that WA Premier Mark McGowan has “killed Covid” and is doing a good job handling the pandemic.

“I think the WA Premier is doing an outstanding job”

Stefanovic joined Peterson to kick off the first edition of ‘Today on Perth Live’ and took aim at his own state of New South Wales.

“In New South Wales everyone is so up themselves… they think everyone should be doing what they do”.

Stefanovic also spoke about the World Health Organisation’s investigation into the origins of Covid in China.

“The reality is the Chinese covered it up for a couple of months in terms of how many people were infected and how infectious it really was and that was a disaster for the world”

Karl Stefanovic will be back  with Oliver Peterson on the Perth Live program in two weeks. Fellow Today Show co-host Ally Langdon will join the program next Thursday to continue ‘Today on Perth Live’.
