It’s Time To Get To Know Your Neighbours

National Neighbour Day is 31st March and Western Australians are being asked to share stories about a great neighbour, amazing neighbourly acts, or something they appreciate about the people in their community.

The day is about combating loneliness and social isolation by promoting a return to neighbourly values – whether it’s getting together for a barbecue, returning your neighbour’s bin on rubbish day, or simply saying hello across the back fence.

Today Oliver Peterson spoke to Relationships Australia National Neighbour Day Campaign Manager Sam Robinson about the push for us to get to know the people that live closest to us.

“We know that good relationships with neighbours can change communities and can have a positive effective on people’s well being.”
