Western Australian vacant land blocks are being snapped up at a rapid rate on the back of recent government grants.

REIWA President Damian Collins says 263 blocks were snapped up last week, an increase of more than 100% from the week before.

“There seems to be an optimism around property and the sales we had last week were the best since 2015 across the board”

Although government grants are available at the moment, Mr Collins says buyers need to be careful.

“We all want free money, it sounds great but have a look at what that you think that house will be worth in the end”
