Declining customer numbers were among the reasons part owner of Scarboro Hardware, Jenie Elliot took to the streets armed with 500 photocopies of a personal letter she’d penned, pleading with locals to support local business.

She spoke to Chris about the overwhelming positive feedback she’s since received.
