Former Geelong great & triple premiership player, Jimmy Bartel, has taken up a new role within the AFL joining the board of directors with GWS.

The Giants made the announcement today on the club’s website, with chairman Tony Shepherd praising Bartel:

“His knowledge of the AFL industry is second to none and his work in the community and in business sees him well positioned to contribute to the club in a range of ways,” Shepherd said.

“Jimmy understands that we’re a young club with enormous opportunity in front of us, something he is excited to be a part of.”

The Brownlow & Norm Smith Medallist & two-time All-Australian will continue to hold his various business & media roles & has a future interest in the list management space.
