Our fuel supplies are at dangerously low levels with less than half the amount needed and experts say we should be concerned.

International energy association standards requires a 90 day fuel reserve but “we’ve got at best a 43 day reserve and probably it’s considerably less, maybe closer to 20,” Dr Malcolm Davis a senior analyst at the Australian Strategic Policy Institute told 6PR Breakfast.

“I think we should be taking it a lot more seriously, think tanks and research institutes have been at Government for years on this issue. And Governments of both political parties, Labor and the Coalition have not listened to the warnings and basically we are in a dangerous situation,” Dr Davis said.
