“It’s not about who it is anymore… It’s about how we’re playing, not whose playing.”

Chris Masten found himself on the outer at the Eagles last season, managing just the 13 games.

However, the 29 year-old has cemented his spot back into the teams’ line-up with 8 matches already this season, with the team on a 7-game winning streak.

The Eagles do battle with Richmond for top spot on the AFL ladder this weekend at Optus Stadium.

“Its good for our young players to play in games like this.”

Find out what Masten thinks about coach Adam Simpson and playing at the new Optus Stadium.

The tattooed Eagle also reveals what he said to an Eagles draftee in the WAFL last year, how he’s finding fatherhood and who inspires his bodies artwork.

“Whatever the team needs me to do, I’ll bloody do me best to do it.”

“It’s a real good feeling around the club. It’s sort of vibrant it just feels refreshed around the place.”

“…these little kids that come in… trying to have a laugh with them and talk to them and get on their level.. it’s good fun.”
