Josh Kennedy speaks with Steve and Baz every Tuesday morning and this morning he reacted to the AFL’s announcement that the first female field umpire will be officiating the West Coast Eagles game this weekend.

“I don’t think it’s more respect; you’ve got to respect the umpires for what they do. We’ll show her the same amount of respect.”
“It’s great to see women come through the ranks and get to that level at AFL and hopefully there’s a lot more and hopefully she can inspire a lot of women who enjoy AFL and who want to umpire.”
