And… a Perth woman believes her elderly parents could have fallen victim to a scam — after a plumbing company tried to charge them $15,000 for roof repairs.

Karen says her parents needed a leak in their roof fixed a plumber advised the couple all the water pipes in the roof needed to be replaced immediately.

She says she feels the well-known company tried to rip-off her mum and dad.

“They just took advantage,” she told Gareth Parker.

“They just saw this old couple that were a bit panicked on Sunday morning and took advantage of them and just saw stress written across their forehead.”

Following Karen’s complain, the company in question dropped the fee to around $7000.
