Oliver Peterson

Defence Minister Linda Reynolds says she has to act in the national interest when it comes to assigning the contracts for the maintenance of the Collins-Class submarines.

Ms Reynolds also advised the state government that it should spend less money on ship maintenance advertising and more money on upgrading Henderson shipyard.

Linda Reynolds discussed the issue and the increasing conflict in northern Syria with Oliver Peterson.

State Minister for Defence Issues Paul Papalia fired back at Ms Reynolds comments telling Oliver Peterson that it is in Australia’s interest to have Western Australia maintain the submarines.
