There was a cyclone Blue Alert issued for the North West on Tuesday Afternoon, but there was one man who issued the warning on Thursday last week.
We spoke with veteran independent weather forecaster Dennis Luke, who has been giving alternative weather predictions for the past 20 years.
A tropical low just south of Cape Leveque may reach tropical cyclone strength on Thursday morning.
