CCC report outlines serious misconduct risk within Office of Auditor General

The state’s corruption watchdog has found the personal details of every serving WA police officer could have been leaked.

The Corruption and Crime Commission alleges two auditors within the Office of the Auditor General accessed sensitive information that was not properly protected.

In one instance, the information of more than 8,000 police staff was retained on a spreadsheet unbeknown to the OAG.

CCC Commissioner John McKechnie told Gareth Parker on Mornings one of the auditors has deliberately destroyed an encrypted USB.
