Blue collar workers to be hit harder by COVID fallout

An economist is predicting a “stop-start” economic recovery for the nation, as the threat of coronavirus continues to diminish.

Deloitte Access Economics predicts employment for tradies, chefs, and machinery operators will drop by up to 14 per-cent.

Deloitte partner David Rumbens told Gareth Parker on Mornings those sectors will start to see some recovery as restrictions are lifted — but then different industries will be affected.
