“Avon Calling” is the unmistakable catch cry of the beauty and cosmetic company that has given women a job or their beauty products over many years, but yesterday Avon announced they will be leaving the Australian market by the end of the year.

Janice has been an Avon lady for almost 50 years from when Karrinyup was a small suburbs with only a few roads and says it was never the money that kept her doing the job for so long.

“I’ve not made very much really, it’s the friendships that I’ve gathered over the many years and stayed with a lot of the friendships,” Janice told Steve and Baz.
“It was just really rewarding. We had to wear gloves and a hat at that time, so times have changed.”
