Australian shipbuilder Austal is celebrating, after the Federal Government finally confirmed it would be involved in the multi-billion dollar offshore patrol vessel program.

Austal CEO David Singleton told Mornings with Gareth Parker, the company will work with Civmec to produce 10 ships in Henderson from 2020.
