The World Health Organisation has listed “vaccine hesitancy” as one of the top 10 threats to global health in 2019. The reluctance or refusal to vaccinate is threatening to bring back vaccine preventable diseases.

Today Oliver Peterson spoke to Australian Medical Association WA President Dr Omar Khorshid about the topic.

“The lunatics are those people that are our there that are pedaling the myths and lies that are reducing the confidence in vaccines.

“There’s a small number of people who listen to those messages and don’t get their kids vaccinated and we know that is what is responsible for the resurgence of things like measles.”
