A taste of Royalty, right here in WA

Jamie Burnett

Fiona Burton had a pretty impressive resume while she was working in the UK – teaching students the art of creating pastries and cakes while creating her own confections for customers as well.

But one phone call, several security checks, and a few months later – she found herself preparing scones for the Queen as the royal family’s patisserie chef.

Fiona has since relocated to Mandurah to set up her own Patisserie and confectionery business – Fiona’s Fancies – and shared with Weekends what it’s like to work for the Royal family and why the change of pace.

You can learn more about her business here: www.fionasfanciesonline.com.au/
