6PR Outback Talkback with Narelle Brook from the Argyle Diamond Ord Valley Muster

Narelle Brook, Chairperson and one of the founding members of the Argyle Diamond Ord Valley Muster joined Simon on Outback Talkback to discuss the history of the festival.

The Ord Valley Muster started in 2001 over 5 days with 10 events and has now expanded to 30 events over 10 days! The idea stemmed from wanting to start their tourism season earlier than June, and was a massive success with 130 local sponsors signing on for the first festival.

Listen to the podcast to hear where the word ‘muster’ derived from and why they used it, and what Narelle’s favourite event at the festival is!
