Mettam blasts ‘completely inexcusable’ response to alleged PCH rape
The ABC is reporting that the 13-year-old girl given the pseudonym Florence was allegedly raped in a mental ward in January of last year.
Despite there being CCTV – the parents have been denied the opportunity to view which reportedly claims is at odds with the nurses’ claims of events.
State Liberal Leader Libby Mettam said the teen was supposed to have been kept safe in the WA hospital system, and she and her family had been let down.

“It’s completely inexcusable the fact that the family – that’s been put through so much in addition to the young girl who’s obviously suffered – has had to fight every step of the way to get some answers. ” Ms Mettam said.
“This is not the first time that we’ve seen a family have to fight for answers on the back of a preventable and tragic incident at PCH.”
