Entertainment reporter Peter Ford has paid tribute to Her Majesty the Queen, saying she promised at her coronation to devote her life to duty until she died, and she did.

“She didn’t want this life, she was stuck with it,” Ford told Gareth Parker on 6PR Breakfast.

“Every word she said, every promise she made, she kept. She basically said ‘I’m going to work until I drop, this is my life now’, and that’s what she did.

“Literally two days ago, swearing in the new UK Prime Minister, she stayed true to her word.”
