Perth is set to be battered by severe weather for the next several days.

There’s a severe weather warning current for a large chunk of the state – stretching from just north of Geraldton down to Bremer Bay.

Around 20 millimetres of rain is forecast to be dumped on Perth today.

Duty Forecaster at the Weather Bureau Jessica Lingard told 6PR Breakfast host Gareth Parker that today’s cold front marks the start of a wet and wild few days.

“The first one’s going to be moving through later this morning,” she said.

“Then we’ve got another one moving through tomorrow and yet another one moving through on Wednesday,

“We could see gusts of up to 90 km an hour throughout today as this first front moves through.”
